Who is responsible

CostPulse Hub is run by Muhammad Arshad Khan, Pakistan, who is the data controller for this website. Contact: costpulsehub@gmail.com.

The short version

• What you type into the calculators stays in your browser. It is not sent to us or stored on a server.
• Your currency, unit and theme choices are saved in your browser’s local storage so the site remembers them.
• If you use the contact form, your name, email address and message are delivered to us through Formspree.
• The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which keeps short-term server logs and may set strictly necessary security cookies.
• Google AdSense may show ads. Advertising cookies are only allowed after you accept them, and you can change your mind at any time with “Cookie settings” in the footer.
• We do not use Google Analytics, Cloudflare Web Analytics or any other analytics tool, and we do not sell personal information.

Calculator inputs and share links

Every calculation runs in your browser. The numbers you enter are not transmitted to us. When you change an input, the page address updates so you can copy or bookmark a link to your result. That address contains your inputs (for example room sizes and prices). If you share the link, anyone who receives it, and the app you share it through, can see those inputs, and when the link is opened the request passes through our host like any other page request.

Local storage on your device

We store three small items in your browser’s local storage: cph-prefs (the currency, unit system and fuel units you chose), cph-theme (light or dark mode, if you switch it) and cph-consent (your cookie choice). They never leave your device and you can delete them at any time by clearing site data in your browser. The cookie policy lists them in full.

Contact form (Formspree)

The contact form is processed by Formspree, Inc. (United States), which receives your name, email address, chosen topic and message and forwards them to our inbox. Formspree also processes technical data such as your IP address to block spam. We use your message only to reply and to fix any problem you report. We keep messages for as long as needed to deal with them and normally delete them within 24 months. Formspree’s handling is described in its privacy policy.

Hosting, security and server logs (Cloudflare)

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages and delivered through Cloudflare’s network (Cloudflare, Inc., United States). To deliver pages and protect the site, Cloudflare processes your IP address, browser type, the address requested, the referring page and the time of the request. This is used for security, bot and abuse protection, and performance, and Cloudflare keeps such logs only for a limited time. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies, such as __cf_bm, which helps separate people from automated bots and expires after 30 minutes, or cf_clearance if you complete a security check. These cookies do not identify you for advertising. See the Cloudflare privacy policy.

Advertising (Google AdSense and DoubleClick)

We use Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies, including DoubleClick cookies, to serve ads, limit how often you see an ad, measure performance and, if you allow it, show ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies is explained in How Google uses information from sites that use its services.

We use Google Consent Mode. Before you choose, advertising storage is set to “denied” and ad data is redacted. If you accept, Google may use advertising cookies; if you reject, it may still show ads that are not personalised and use limited information to fight fraud and abuse. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland may see Google’s own consent message instead of our banner. You can change your choice at any time with “Cookie settings” in the footer, manage Google ad personalisation at My Ad Center, or opt out of personalised ads from many companies at aboutads.info or youronlinechoices.eu.

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as an opt-out of personalised advertising and do not ask you again.

Legal bases (EEA and UK visitors)

Under the GDPR and UK GDPR we rely on: your consent for advertising cookies; our legitimate interests in keeping the site secure, available and free of abuse (hosting logs and security cookies) and in answering messages you send; and storage that is strictly necessary to remember the settings you choose.

Your rights

EEA and United Kingdom (GDPR, UK GDPR)

You can ask to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive a copy in a portable format. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier processing. You can also complain to your local data protection authority; in the UK this is the Information Commissioner’s Office.

California (CCPA and CPRA)

In the last 12 months the site may have collected identifiers (such as an IP address or cookie ID) and internet activity (such as ad interactions) through Cloudflare and, with consent, Google advertising cookies. We do not sell personal information for money. Personalised advertising cookies may count as “sharing” for cross-context behavioural advertising; you can opt out by rejecting cookies in the banner or under “Cookie settings”, or by using Global Privacy Control, which we honour. You have the right to know, delete and correct personal information, to use an authorised agent, and not to be treated differently for using these rights.

Canada (PIPEDA)

We collect personal information only with your knowledge and consent and for the purposes described here. You can ask for access to, or correction of, your personal information, and you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada about a concern.

To make any request, email costpulsehub@gmail.com. We will answer within 30 days and may need to confirm your identity first. We do not hold calculator inputs, so we cannot retrieve or delete them for you; clearing your browser data removes them.

International transfers

We are based in Pakistan, and our service providers (Cloudflare, Formspree and Google) process data in the United States and other countries. These providers use recognised safeguards for international transfers, such as standard contractual clauses.

How long information is kept

Children

The site is meant for adults planning home and car spending. It is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

The site is served only over HTTPS with modern security headers, and it has no user accounts or databases. No method of transmission over the internet is perfectly secure, but we keep the amount of personal information we handle as small as possible.

Changes to this policy

If we change how information is handled, we will update this page and the effective date at the top. Significant changes will also be noted on the home page for a reasonable period.
